History
Our Journey
Orléans Express is the largest bus passenger transportation in Quebec. This success is based on our excellent service and our skilled employees.
Four major milestones have marked our company’s journey.
1990
The start of a wonderful trip
Autocars Orléans Express was created following the sale of the Voyageur bus network. By taking part of this vast network, Orléans Express set up a bus transportation service that travels the roads of many regions of Quebec, including Montreal, Quebec City, Mauricie, Lower St. Lawrence and the Gaspé Peninsula.
2002
Multinational destination
The French multinational Keolis, which has 200 subsidiaries, 25,000 employees and annual sales of over two billion euros, acquired 75% of shares in the Groupe Orléans Express. The current president, Sylvain Langis, holds 25% of the capital stock and runs the reorganized company.
2003
A world of service
Orléans Express created the Expedibus courier service. This new company serves all regions of Quebec and stands out for its efficiency and reliability. No doubt when it comes to service, Orléans Express… we pull out all the stops!
2004
Always aiming higher
Groupe Orléans Express purchased Acadian Lines, the largest bus passenger transportation service in the Maritimes, and, in doing so, became owner of the Acadian Express Courier package delivery service, which serves all Maritime provinces.
From Montreal to Sydney (Nova Scotia), Orléans Express now carries travellers and packages to four Canadian provinces, and has become the second largest bus transportation company in the country.
